Check out this awesome event that will be happening this November in Keene, NH!
A huge thank you to everyone who has been supporting the new shop build whether it be financially, or in prayer. We are so pleased to announce that it is now OPEN :)Above: The front of the shop. Above: Inside the show room. Below: The work shop where the mums do all the hard work.

The Play area is now completed and being used regularly much to the staff and children's delight :) Above: The outside of the new Dignity Designs building which will house the workshop and the show room when completed :) Above: Inside the Dignity Designs building. Right: Where the mums will be doing the beading. ![]() Making good use of the undercover play area outside... this was taken during last Friday's Fun day where the children and adults enjoyed a bouncy castle, face painting, a puppet show and dancing. ![]() Yesterday we took 9 of our children swimming. The weather was beautiful and everyone had a great time. :) The children love these sessions and it is so good for them at the same time. Dennis works at Dignity Designs and in addition to helping with the beading, he also makes amazingly beautiful hand stitched cards. He has been sick for a little while suffering from some internal bleeding and an unknown growth in his stomach. Wednesday he went back to the hospital for another blood transfusion. He has had 6 of them this month. They were pleased to see that his hemoglobin had gone from a 5 to a 6.5. That is still really low and you can imagine how tired he must feel but we are thankful to the Lord for that! They did an ultrasound and still could not find the cause of the internal bleeding anywhere. He is still having a lot of pain under his rib cage and they are doing more tests to see about the growth that they found there. Dennis remains happy and told us that God was healing him. So keep praying…he goes in for more tests on Monday.
![]() The children attended Horse back therapy today for the first time in a while (due to unavoidable circumstances we had to take a temporary break). As you can see they were really happy to be back :) This therapy is so good for them as well as being really good fun! ![]() It was Edman's first time on a horse ever. He was a little scared at first, but soon warmed to the activity and ended up loving it. Please see attached our most recent Newsletter. If you wish to be added to the email list please let us know. Enjoy :) ![]()
![]() Meet Edman. Edman is a very happy little boy who turns 5 in March. Edman's Mum had a normal pregnancy with him, but he suffered from foetal distress during birth. Initially everything seemed fine, but all of Edman's milestones have been significantly delayed, e.g. he started walking at 3 1/2 years and communicates now with single words. He seems to have settled into Heshima very quickly and is making friends with the other children. ![]() Meet Baraka, which means Blessing in Swahili. He is one of twins and is nearly 2 1/2 years old. Baraka has Cerebral Palsy due to complications at birth. Our staff will be working with him to learn to sit with support, roll, crawl, reach for toys and improve his eye contact. We see a lot of potential in Baraka and we pray that he settles well into his new home with us. If you are interested in sponsoring either of these new children, you can see the details under the 'Support Heshima' heading and can specify which child you would like to support in the 'notes' section.
![]() Today we are going swimming with five of the children and their mums. This will be the first time for mums to come with us so we're excited to share the fun with them, and hopefully they will see and understand the amazing therapeutic benefits for their children also. As you can see from Aggie and Maggie's faces, they love it! |
