Julius Majanga: Administrator
Julius has grown up in Kenya. He has worked with the Hagman family for 6 years. He has spent many hours playing and working with Simon, our special needs son. He is working at Heshima as the administrator and doing an amazing job. Julius takes care of all the time consuming errands like: buying our food and water, paying the bills, making sure the teachers are doing their jobs, working with the families and the list goes on and on. Heshima would not be able to run as effectively as it does without Julius.
Nelly Opondo: Head Teacher
Rahab Ndungu: Occupational Therapist.
Rahab is 26 years old. She is the second last born in a family of twelve. Rahab has been with us at Heshima since its inception. Currently she is on a one year education leave pursuing a diploma in Sensory Integration at Kenya Medical Training College. She loves working with children.
Catherine Maina: Occupational TherapistCatherine comes from a family of five where she is the second born. She trained as an occupational therapist at Kenya Medical Training College. She loves her work at Heshima and has seen great growth in all the children. She has been working at Heshima since August 2010.
Lilian Minayo: Assistant Teacher
Lilian is the second born in a family of five. She has been working with us at Heshima since its inception. She really loves working with the children.
Edmond Muraya: Physiotherapist
Ed is the youngest in a family of 4 children. Ed received his education from Kenya Medical Training College. He has a degree in physical therapy. Ed has worked with us at Heshima since we opened in October of 2008. He provides invaluable help to our children that can not walk.
Ruth Wanjiku: Assistant Teacher
Ruth is the last born in a family of three children. She is married and has 2 children of her own. She loves her work as a teacher assistant at Heshima because she loves children. She hopes to continue her education and eventually become a teacher at Heshima. Ruth has worked at Heshima since June 2010
Juliety Siiva: Assistant Teacher
Julliety comes from a family of seven children. She is the 3rd born. She is trained in computers and secretarial work. She is our nutritionist and makes healthy meals each day for our children, their mothers and the staff. She works hard to provide lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and makes wonderful tasting food! We have all gained weight! She has been working at Heshima since February 2010
Grace Kagiri: Speech TherapistGrace comes from a family of seven children. She is the fourth born. She is a trained Speech Therapist working with both adults and children. She is married with two children. She helps the children at Heshima learn sign language. She has been working at Heshima since January 2011
